The Annals of the Social Science Academy of Nigeria is the flagship of the for well-researched and reported research outcomes in the social sciences. The Academy on the other hand (formerly Social Science Council of Nigeria) is the umbrella organization for all social science faculties and research institutions in Nigeria. The first issue of the Annals appeared in 1988 and it has been up and running ever since.
